Our Junior Program will start with a Curling Clinic to be held at the Chestermere Recreation Center Curling Rink on Sunday, January 8th, 2017. At this clinic we will have some on ice and some off ice instruction. We will be touching on all the basics of curling; delivery, sweeping, rules, strategy, and etiquette. It will be a great review for those with curling experience and a great introduction for those with no curling experience.

Sunday's Draw Times:

2:30 - 4:00 PM
Beginners (under the age of 10 years old with little to no experience)/Lite Rockers (children 7 or 8 years old or a child with a very small build who are comfortable throwing lite rocks and have little to no experience)

This league consists of drills and instruction followed by a 2 end game.

4:00 - 5:30 PM
Intermediate (2 years experience in a junior program)/Advanced (more than 2 years experience in a junior program)

This league consists of some drills and/or instruction followed by a 4 end game

An in-house bonspiel will be held on the last Sunday in March for all of our Junior Curling Program members.

First year curlers must bring a helmet (bike helmets are acceptable), it is suggested that all other curlers wear a helmet but it is not mandatory. All curlers should have stretchy warm pants, gloves, layers on top and CLEAN indoor shoes/runners. You can bring your own curling equipment or you can use ours, we have brooms, sliders and stabilizers available for use.
